Dear DeviceHive Community,

We want to thank you for your ongoing support and for exploring our open-source IoT platform, DeviceHive. The DeviceHive Playground, our free testing environment, has been instrumental in helping users evaluate and experiment with DeviceHive capabilities.

However, after careful consideration, we have decided to discontinue the DeviceHive Playground service as of Jan 15, 2025. This decision allows us to focus our resources on improving the core DeviceHive platform and delivering more robust features to meet your IoT needs.

What does this mean for you?

  • After Jan 15, 2025, the Playground service will no longer be available.
  • Any data or projects on the Playground will no longer be accessible.

Alternative Options:
DeviceHive remains fully open-source, and you can continue to use it by deploying it on your infrastructure. If you need help setting up DeviceHive locally, here are some resources to guide you:

  1. DeviceHive GitHub Repository
  2. Step-by-Step Installation Guide

If you have any concerns, questions, or need assistance transitioning, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us via info@devicehive.com or our community channels.

Thank you again for being a part of the DeviceHive community. We look forward to supporting your IoT projects as you continue to innovate with DeviceHive.

Best regards,
The DeviceHive Team
